Join the Empire

Membership in the 501st is earned through a screen-accurate costume, not just an application. Here's exactly what that path looks like — and how our Garrison supports you through it.

The Path to Membership

Every member goes through the same four stages, no matter which character they build.

Choose your costume

Browse the Legion's Costume Reference Library (CRL) to see which characters are approvable, and pick one that fits your build skills and budget.

Build to standard

Join your costume's Detachment forum for build guidance, then construct or commission your costume to CRL spec.

Submit for approval

Send approval photos to our Garrison Membership Liaison (GML), who checks your costume against the CRL.

Get your ID and muster in

Once approved, you'll receive your Legion ID and join the Singapore Garrison roster — welcome aboard.

Don't have a costume yet? You're still welcome to reach out. Many members start as a "recruit," attending events as a minder while they build, which is a great way to meet the Garrison and get build advice before you commit to a costume. Email us anytime at membership@501st.sg.
